PHOTOGRAPHY
By entering the Pako Festa event precinct, you give permission that photos/film containing your image may be used for publicity or general information purposes, including publication on the Pako Festa website and social media, which may be seen by the general public. Pako Festa will not seek any further permission nor provide any notification before using such photos/film.
SMOKERS
Due to the number of food stalls along Pakington Street, Pako Festa is a Smoke Free Zone.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Bus times and routes have been altered across the event day. Bus stops along the event course cannot be serviced during the event. Revised public transport timetables are available on ptv.vic.gov.au & cdcvictoria.com.au
WEATHER
Prepare for a warm day, wear sunscreen, bring your own water bottle to fill at the Barwon Water Hydration stations located in West Park and the Subway Car Park Area
PARKING
All side streets and areas behind Pakington Street has free on street parking which includes accessible parking.
We also recommend getting public transport to event it is a short 10mins walk from the Geelong Train Station along Gordon Ave.
FIRST AID
First Aid Tents will be available to the public for anyone who needs medical assistance located near the West Town Hall please refer to the Event Map.
RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT
We’re committed to minimising our impact on the environment – please help us by doing the same. Please give thought to packaging and while you are here, please dispose of your rubbish in one of the many bins or recycling points dotted around Pakington Street.
ROAD CLOSURES
Sat 25 Feb 2023 – Closes 3am / Re-opens 11pm
Pakington Street and streets intersecting it are closed to all traffic from, and including, Waterloo Street at the northern end and Autumn Street and Gordon Avenue at the southern end.
TOILETS
Public Toilets are located at West Park, corner Autumn St and Pakington St, inside the main hall and at the rear of Geelong West Town Hall. Portable toilets will be in Waratah Street. Accessible toilets are located at Karingal, West Park and Geelong West Town Hall. View the map on the program page for more details.
WATER
Bring your own water bottle to keep hydrated with Barwon Water’s Drinking Fountain at West Park and the Barwon water Chill Out Zone. Bottled water will also be readily available from chill-out zones and many traders and food/ beverage stalls in the precinct.
PETS
Due to the weather forecast we encourage you to leave your furry friends at home.
