Parking: Accessible car parking is available at the rear of the Geelong West Town Hall, in the Albert Street Carpark. During the festival, Pakington Street is closed to traffic and there is limited parking and strict restrictions so always check the signage!
Train: From Geelong Train Station, Pakington Street is just a five-minute walk. For timetable information contact V/Line on 136 196 or www.vline.com.au
Buses: For routes and timetables, call (03) 5240 5000 or check www.cdcvictoria.com.au
Taxis: Drop off and pick-up points are located in Albert St, Hope St, Waterloo St and Gordon Avenue, Geelong West.
Ferries: Cruise to and from between Geelong and Melbourne with Port Phillip Ferries. Offering 2 return services daily from December 2, 2019. Timetable and Fares to be announced soon. www.portphillipferries.com.au
Alcohol Free Zone: With the exception of designated licensed areas, the consumption of alcohol in the street is strictly prohibited. Fines of up to $2,000 may apply.

How To Dress: It might be hot, it might not! Remember a hat, sunscreen, water and don’t forget comfy shoes!

Pets: We encourage you to leave your furry friends at home due to the large audience numbers being distressing to animals.
Photography: By entering the Pako Festa event precinct, you give permission that photos/film containing your image may be used for publicity or general information purposes, including publication on the Pako Festa website and social media, which may be seen by the general public. Pako Festa will not seek any further permission nor provide any notification before using such photos/film.
Respect the environment: We’re committed to minimising our impact on the environment – please help us by doing the same. Please give thought to packaging and while you are here, please dispose of your rubbish in one of the many bins or recycling points dotted around Pakington Street.
Road Closures: Sat 29th Feb – Closes 3am / Re-opens 11pm
Pakington Street and streets intersecting it are closed to all traffic from, and including, Waterloo Street at the northern end and Autumn Street and Gordon Avenue at the southern end
Smokers: Pako Festa is a Smoke Free Zone.
Toilets: Public Toilets are located at West Park, corner Autumn St and Pakington St, inside the main hall and at the rear of Geelong West Town Hall. Portable toilets will be in Waratah Street. Accessible toilets are located at Karingal, West Park and Geelong West Town Hall.

Water: bring your own water bottle to keep hydrated with Barwon Water’s Drinking Fountain at West Park. Bottled water will also be readily available from chill-out zones and many traders and food/ beverage stalls in the precinct.
Toilets: Inside the Geelong West Town Hall (main entrance in Pakington Street) and also in the public toilets at the rear of the hall. In West Park, Autumn St (Fire Station end), a portable accessible toilet is available.
Ramps: Access Ramps to enable better transition from the road to the pavement – one is located between Albert and Weller Streets, and one between Albert and Preston Streets.
Parking: Accessible parking is at the rear of Geelong West Town Hall.
Specific Needs Centre: Facilities for people with disabilities, older citizens, breastfeeding mothers etc. is available at Karingal, 151 Pakington Street.
CHILL OUT SPACES
Geelong West Presbyterian Church site, Cnr Waratah & Pakington St
The Geelong West Presbyterian Church site, on the corner of Pakington and Waratah Street, will host children’s activities and a Chill-out zone, under a marquee on the church grounds. Visitors to Pako Festa are invited to take a rest and refreshment break in the shade, with free drinks and some seating available (including kids highchairs) to relax away from the crowds.
