Parking: Car parks around Pakington Street will fill up very quickly! Please observe parking signage, as the rules still apply and fines will be issued for illegal parking. Keep driveways clear, do not park in ‘NO STANDING zones’ and do not park behind or, in front of barriers. Accessible car parking is available at the rear of the Geelong West Town Hall, in the Albert Street Carpark.
V/Line: Take the train to Geelong City station, then walk for just 5 minutes to reach Pakington Street Geelong West. The street will be blocked off to all vehicle traffic for Pako Festa. For timetable information contact V/Line on 136 196 www.vline.com.au
Buses: Pakington Street itself will be closed to all vehicular transport during Pako Festa, which will impact bus routes and timetables. For changes to timetable and services contact CDC Geelong Ph 03 5240 5000
Taxis: Drop off and Pick up points are located in Albert St, Hope St, Waterloo St and Gordon Avenue, Geelong West.

Alcohol Free Zone: With the exception of designated licensed areas, the consumption of alcohol in the street is strictly prohibited at Pako Festa. Fines of up to $2,000 may apply.
Sun smart: remember a hat, sunscreen, water and don't forget comfy shoes.
Smokers: BYO ashtray and please observe 'Smoke Free' zones.
Keep it Clean: Pako Festa aims to eliminate unnecessary packaging, reduce waste, maximise recycling and reduce litter. Please utilise Recycling Stations and rubbish bins located across the site precinct.

Pets: We encourage you to leave your Furry Friends at home please. Pako Festa is an extremely busy event and the crowds, noise and heat may cause some distress to your pets.
Road Closures from 3am SAT 25 FEB, reopen 11pm:
Pakington Street and streets intersecting it are closed to all traffic from, and including, Waterloo Street at the northern end and Autumn Street and Gordon Avenue at the southern end, from 3am, then reopening at 11pm. View the map on the program page for more details.
Toilets: Public Toilets are located at West Park, corner Autumn St and Pakington St, inside the main hall and at the rear of Geelong West Town Hall and Portable toilets will be in Waratah Street. Disabled Access toilets are located at Karingal, West Park and Geelong West Town Hall.
Water: Keep hydrated throughout the day, especially if it's hot. A Barwon Water Drinking Fountain will be located at West Park and bottled water will also be readily available from 'chill-out' zones and many traders and food/ beverage stalls in the precinct..
Toilets: Inside the Geelong West Town Hall (main entrance in Pakington Street) and also in the public toilets at the rear of the hall. In West Park, Autumn St, at the Fire Station end, a portable accessible toilet is available.
Ramps: Access Ramps to enable better transition from the road to the pavement - one is located between Albert and Weller Streets, and one between Albert and Preston Streets.
Parking: Accessible parking is at the rear of Geelong West Town Hall.
Specific Needs Centre: Facilities for people with disabilities, older citizens, breast feeding mothers etc. is available at Karingal 151 Pakington Street.
Chill out spaces
Geelong West Presbyterian Church site, Cnr Waratah & Pakington St
The Geelong West Presbyterian Church site, on the corner of Pakington and Waratah Street, will host children's activities and a Chill-out zone, under a marquee on the church grounds. Visitors to Pako Festa are invited to take a rest and refreshment break in the shade, with free drinks and some seating available (including kids highchairs) to relax away from the crowds.
