40 Years Young- Online History Project

Established in 1983, Pako Festa has been the heart of Geelong’s cultural identity for almost 42 years.

A new interactive timeline is in development that will capture images, stories, past event programs, posters, media articles and media that reflect community participation.

Through expanding the reach of Pako Festa, the timeline will help grow the potential economic revenue generated by the event and instil Geelong as a destination of choice for cultural events.

The completed timeline will be launched in early 2024. The framework of the timeline was developed in partnership with the Committee for Geelong, 2020-21 Leaders Program.
