What’s Cooking Pako Festa always provides an incredible spread of foods from all corners of the world. This year we welcome members of the Wathaurong and Polish Communities – both will be preparing traditional foods from their culture with a modern attitude. From the international kitchen we are pleased to present fresh and fabulous cuisine including French crepes, Italian gelati, Dutch poffertjes, Spanish churros, Turkish pastries, German sausage and Middle Eastern falafals. Many of our local cultural communities will again be in the street and parks cooking up the very best of their country’s dishes. There will be BBQ’s and bratwursts, stir frys and fritters, croquettes and satays, sausages and spit roasts, paellas and pizzas and sweet treats served with nuts and honey. And that’s just the start. By popular demand – we are pleased to announce the following communities will be returning to Pako Festa to make sure that nobody goes home hungry - Macedonian, Indonesian, Iranian, Spanish, Scottish, Irish, Dutch, Welsh, Maori, Bosnian, Italian, Indian, Ukrainian, Croatian, Fillipino, Malaysian, Greek and Serbian. If you haven’t tried these dishes before – now is your chance to dine like you’re on a world trip. And for those with more conservative taste – you’ll find plenty of options from hot potatoes to salads, slices, pies and pastries. |
